What Other Fruit Trees Can I Plant with My Cherry and Apple Trees in Zone 7b/8a?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and super thankful for all the valuable info I've found so far. I have a small yard with an apple and a cherry tree, and I'm looking to add 2-3 more fruit trees. I'm based in zone 7b/8a and want some suggestions for trees that would complement my existing ones. Ideally, I'm hoping for a variety that would provide diverse nutrients and offer different preservation options or recipes beyond just eating the fruits fresh. Any ideas?

You could try planting a peach, nectarine, persimmon, apricot, or pear tree. If you go for a plum, I’d suggest the greengage variety for its flavor!

I was actually thinking about adding peach and apricot! I know someone with an apricot tree, and it produces a ton. Thanks a lot for the suggestions!

I’m in the same zone as you and have a peach, cherry, plum, and even a pomegranate. We've also got a blood orange and a lemon that we manage to overwinter. They all do quite well!

Wow, that's an impressive variety! Our cherries and apples thrive, and I’ve been wanting to branch out for better nutrient diversity. I didn’t know we could grow peaches here until recently, and it was a great surprise!
