I'm a resident of Los Angeles and I'm starting to dive into the world of plants for my outdoor patio. I'm a bit overwhelmed after visiting a plant store where most plants I asked about required either full shade or 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. However, my patio only gets a couple of hours of direct sun at most. I'm looking for recommendations for outdoor plants that can thrive with some sun but don't need a lot of it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check out Pothos! They're really adaptable and thrive in a variety of conditions, so they'll work well for your patio situation. Definitely worth looking into!
How about a tropical hibiscus? They're super beautiful and easy to care for. While they typically do best with full sun, they'll still be fine with your limited sunlight in Los Angeles. Plus, they're pretty easy to find!

Fuchsias are a great option! They do well in hanging baskets and can handle about 2-3 hours of sunlight. Just make sure to keep them cool and moist, especially in the LA heat. You'll probably need to water them daily, maybe even a few times if it gets really hot!
