Hey everyone! I'm looking for some good recommendations for paints, either single colors or sets, that I can use to finish off my basswood projects. If anyone has tips, tutorials, or videos about painting techniques or sealing and protecting the paint afterward, I'd love to hear them!

I found a great video by Van Kelly that completely changed how I feel about painting! It made the whole process more enjoyable for me. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some inspiration. [You can find it here!](https://youtu.be/EKo65wse6tA?si=nK2d4dLm8krdJ4Sb)
If you want to find more resources, don't forget to use the search feature at the top! You can search for 'Paint' and see what other folks are discussing. I’ve had success with Liquitex Basics from Michael's, thinned down for a smoother application.
For sealing basswood, I recommend using linseed oil. It helps the wood absorb the paint evenly, preventing that splotchy look. I typically use acrylic paints and dilute them a bit with water, but try it on a scrap piece of wood first to see what you like. Good luck with your projects!

Thanks for the video link! I'll definitely take a look at that.
