I'm planning to bring in some peppers that I have growing in bags, and I'm also considering a couple of late-start tomatoes since they haven't produced yet. I might add some herbs and swiss chard as well. I've got plenty of basil that I'm trimming and putting in water to see if it survives; if it does, I'll definitely bring it in. What about you all?

This year, I'm going for garlic and I plan to try shallots since they can be planted in the fall in mild winters. Last year, I planted shallots alongside my garlic, and they did great!
Honestly, I've pretty much given up on overwintering peppers. They take too long to bounce back, so now I just start from seeds each spring. I did jalapeños last year and got hundreds from seeds, while the overwintered plants barely produced anything. I think it's also a timing issue for me, but hey, I love starting seeds in spring—it’s my gardening therapy!
Same here. I experimented too and my new seed-started peppers produce just as quick as the overwintered ones. The only decent part about keeping the old plants is their sturdy trunks.
That’s such a relatable struggle! Gardening is definitely a journey, not a sprint.
I’m bringing in my turmeric pot and geraniums this winter. Tried overwintering peppers once but ended up with an aphid problem. Might also attempt to save my rosemary, although it didn't work well last time. Planning to grow some lettuce indoors too!

I did the same last fall, and it went really well for me in Zone 8b. They grew perfectly alongside the garlic!
