Hey everyone! I recently rescued a snake plant that was in a self-watering pot, but I had to repot it due to soggy soil. Now I've got this 6-inch self-watering pot that's just waiting for a new plant! I understand these pots are great for moisture-loving plants, but I'm not sure what would thrive in this setup. The light is bright but indirect, and I could use a grow light if necessary. Can you all suggest some plants that would do well in a self-watering pot?

Ferns could be great for this kind of setup. Maidenhair ferns really enjoy consistent moisture and would appreciate the self-watering feature. Just keep an eye on the humidity; they can get crispy if it's too dry!
You could try an African violet or an anthurium! They thrive in self-watering pots, plus they look beautiful. I've also had a lot of success with polka dot plants and oxalis. Definitely do some research on them, especially the violets—they're fantastic!

Consider peace lilies or calatheas! They enjoy moist conditions and could work well in your pot. Calatheas can be a tad picky, though, so keep that in mind. You might also want to look into fittonias—they're super cute and love consistent moisture!

I love ferns too, but my indoor humidity isn't great either! Any tips on keeping them from getting crispy?
