I'm heading off on a month-long trip and I'm worried about missing my woodworking projects. I primarily work with power tools in my shop, but I'd like to explore some portable woodworking or adjacent projects I can take with me while I'm traveling. Any suggestions?

If you're into something a bit more detailed, you could try a Kumiko woodworking project. Just grab a small hand saw and a couple of sharp chisels, cut a bunch of thin strips before you leave, and take along a Kumiko book for reference. It's super portable and a great way to keep busy!
I love making small wooden toys when I'm out camping or traveling. They’re easy to pack, and you can leave them at campsites to surprise or amuse others! Plus, they don’t require heavy tools.
Have you thought about spoon carving? You can prep some spoon blanks before you leave, and then you just need a few knives and some sandpaper to get going when you're on the road.

That sounds like a fantastic idea! I've heard Kumiko can be really relaxing, especially when you have some time to kill.
