I'm just getting into power tools and I'm looking for some advice on what kit to buy. I've done some research on Milwaukee's M12 vs. M18 lines and I've noticed there are frequent discounts on their products. Still, I'm pretty new to this brand and would love some recommendations on what would be a good starting point for someone like me.

If you're just starting out, I'd definitely recommend going for the M18 line. Sure, they’re a bit heavier, but down the road, you'll likely want yard tools too, and Milwaukee only offers those in M18. Plus, their standard M18 fuel drill is a beast!
It seems most folks agree: for general home use, M12 is solid, but if you want to tackle some heavier tasks or have plans for using it for work, M18 is the way to go. I started with M18 for my home and it also does the job well for a bit of work-related tasks.
I didn't realize they had lawn mowers and trimmers as well... that's good to know!
