What Sheen Should I Use to Paint My Garage?

I'm getting ready to repaint my garage and I'd love to hear some ideas about sheen options. My garage has baseboards and a chair rail that I'm not planning to remove, and I'll be using a single color for the space. Since I have four windows, I'm wondering if I should use a different sheen, like semi-gloss, for the trim areas or just go with the same paint throughout since, well, it's just a garage.

I've been using a satin finish in my garage. It's tougher than flat paint, making it easy to clean, and it has a nice soft glow without being too shiny. I just use the same satin finish everywhere now to keep it simple and it holds up great!

That sounds interesting! I like the idea of using the same finish for everything to make it easier.

I would recommend going with semi-gloss for the whole garage. It helps with easy cleanup and makes the space brighter. Plus, it’s a garage, so you don’t have to stress about it being perfect!

Personally, I think semi-gloss is the way to go. It reflects light well and is much easier to wipe down if you get dirt or oil splatters on it. Helps keep the garage looking fresh!
