What Should I Add to My Container Garden?

I'm managing a container garden at work, but this year, not as many people brought plants, leaving me with some empty containers and grow bags. Currently, I have a mix of 4 ten-gallon grow bags, 2 five-gallon containers, 1 twenty-five-gallon container, and 1 two-gallon container. In the garden, I've already planted tomatoes, eggplants, onions, muskmelons, cowpeas, beans, potatoes, herbs, summer squash, and hot peppers. I'm looking for suggestions on what else I could plant in the extra containers. Any ideas?

If this is a community garden, I totally recommend adding some squash! Zucchini grows super well and is quite prolific. Everyone can take home extra, and you might also try some smaller winter squash like 'Jack Be Little.' They’re great for decoration and cooking!

Thanks for the suggestions! Planting more summer squash and just giving it away to everyone is a fun idea lol. And yes, it's like a community garden for the people who work in my building.

Definitely consider adding flowers! They might get more people interested in the garden project and will help with pollination. Zinnias are super colorful and great for cutting. You might also try marigolds, nasturtiums, and dwarf sunflowers. So many fun options!

Cucumbers, snap peas, and carrots are always a hit in container gardens! And don't forget to add some flowers. They’ll not only beautify your garden but also attract pollinators!
