Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for my first gig where I'll be weedwacking a 1.5-acre property. I've got my own weedwacker, gas, and all the supplies I need. Since this is my first customer, I'm not sure how much I should charge. Any advice?

Honestly, I'd figure out how much you want to make per hour and estimate how long it'll take you. For jobs over 2.5 hours, I usually add about 20% to account for extra costs like gas and wear and tear on my tools. I charge between $60-$200 hourly, depending on the difficulty. For weed eating, I'd lean closer to $100 an hour based on your description. Just remember, it's a lot of work!
For a job like weedwacking 1.5 acres, I'd say start at around $150 at minimum, but it really depends on how overgrown the area is. If the grass is particularly tall or messy, you might want to charge a bit more.

$100 an hour seems pretty high for weed eating! Are you sure that's reasonable?
