Hey everyone, I came home yesterday to find my main floor bathroom had flooded, likely due to a busted water line under the sink. After dealing with the bathroom, I found that the ceiling below it was pretty much pouring water for 6 to 7 hours. I've managed to dry the floor, but I'm unsure about how to handle the dropped ceiling. The frame seems to be aluminum and the tiles are some sort of plastic. It's all new, so any advice on what steps I should take would be appreciated!

I know it's tough, but after 6-7 hours of water pouring down, reusing tiles might not be worth it, even if they seem okay. You still have to consider the overall cost of restoration and moisture control—it's probably better to go for new tiles.
It really depends on the type of dropped ceiling you’ve got. If the tiles are just plastic and they're not warped, you might be able to reuse them. But, if they look messed up at all, it might be better to replace them. Just check for any signs of damage!
First things first, you'll want to remove the ceiling tiles and aim a fan up there to help dry everything out. It's a good idea to replace the tiles if they got wet, just to be safe.
