Hey everyone! My neighbor just sprayed Weed B Gone all over his lawn and even along the fence right next to my veggie garden. I'm really worried about the impact on my plants. I'm growing cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, and lettuce. Is it safe to eat any of the fruit that's already developed, or should I be cautious for the rest of the season? I did my best to wash down the area, but I'm feeling uncertain. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’d recommend harvesting any veggies that are already growing and letting new plants restart. As much as it’s tempting, I wouldn't chance eating anything that's been affected. Staying on the safe side with garden chemicals is usually best!
It really depends on how close the spray was. If the Weed B Gone was directly on your plants, I'd say stay away from the tomatoes and beans since they're pretty sensitive to chemical drift. The cucumbers and lettuce should be fine if they weren't directly hit. Just keep an eye on them for any signs of damage. I know it's a bummer!

Thanks for the insight! So I should be cautious about the tomatoes and beans for sure. I talked to my neighbor about it, hoping it won't happen again. Should I just discard any tomatoes that start to ripen?
