Hey everyone! I'm relatively new to taking care of plants, and when I got mine, they came in ceramic pots that have pebbles at the bottom. Now that I'm repotting them, I've come across different opinions on whether to use those pebbles. My main question is: what should I do with the pots that don't have drainage holes? Is it better to add pebbles, or will my plants be fine in pots without holes? Or would getting nursery pots be the best option? I know not to get pots without holes in the future, but right now I have a few without them.

Using pots without drainage holes can work, but you have to be super careful with how much you water. If water just sits at the bottom, it can lead to problems like root rot. In fact, adding pebbles can make it worse since they can trap water instead of helping it drain. My advice? Skip the pebbles!

Thanks! I love these pots because they're so pretty, but I’ll definitely be getting ones with holes next time.
