What should I do about the gap between my siding and the ground?

I just bought this house, and the exterior isn't fully finished yet. The vinyl siding is in place, but there's an open area of Tyvek between the ground and where the siding starts. I'm looking for advice on what typically goes in this space or if there are multiple options I could consider.

It sounds like there might be some important framing and sheathing materials behind that Tyvek. Normally, the siding should extend down to completely cover these areas and overlap slightly onto the foundation or slab. If you're not seeing any siding there, you might want to look into that!

Thanks for the tip! The Tyvek is definitely covering the framing, but the foundation part looks like it might be exposed. I’m not sure if that’s normal.
