Hey everyone, I had a small fire in my oven caused by some olive oil spilling from a loose bottom cake tin. It only lasted about 30 seconds, and I managed to put it out by turning off the oven and closing the door. After cleaning the oven with water and soap, I turned it on again, but now I hear a bubbling noise coming from inside. Should I be worried? I turned it off for safety. Any suggestions?

You could try pulling the oven away from the wall and unplugging it. Check the back panel for any possible moisture or wiring issues that might have resulted from the fire.
First off, I wouldn't use the oven again until a professional checks it out. It's crucial to know what kind of fire you had and what caused it. Make sure everything is dry, and don't take any chances!
Thanks for the insight! I'm definitely going to get it checked out before using it.
Just to clarify, did you use water to put the fire out? Or was it just turning off the oven that worked?
I just turned it off and closed the oven. The fire went out right away. I used water only to clean the burn afterward.

Thanks! I’ll look into that, but I'm not too sure how to do it.
