Hey everyone! I've spotted a fox in my backyard recently, and today I noticed it was hanging out on the remnants of an old oil tank that's just left as piles of breeze blocks. When I went to check it out, I found a bunch of snail shells scattered around there. Does this mean there might be a rat problem? I've also seen frogs in the garden, but I'm not sure if they eat snails. If there are rats, what are my best options for dealing with them? I'm really hesitant about moving the breeze blocks because I worry about being overwhelmed by pests. Plus, I can't use poison since I have other wildlife, like the fox, frogs, and birds, and I also have a dog. What should I do?

Frogs and birds often munch on snails, and they sometimes leave shells in piles near stones. There's usually no need to worry too much about the situation. Foxes do eat rats, so that's a good sign! They generally won't cause harm; just keep an eye on your soft fruit and net them to avoid any wildlife getting caught. Just enjoy having such vibrant wildlife around!

Thank you for this comment! This makes me feel a lot better and I'll be able to sleep soundly tonight lol.
