Hey everyone! After my basement flooded a couple of weeks back, I had a contractor come in to cut out and replace about 2 feet of drywall. However, they've left this hole under the breaker box, and I don't have a cover for it. There's a strange notch at the top, but I'm not really sure what to do. Does anyone know if there's something I can buy to cover this hole? Here's a picture for reference: https://imgur.com/a/38nqejT

Yeah, you should be able to find something inexpensive to cover it up! Since it’s been recently fixed, it’s looking good considering the flood situation! Just make sure to get the right size cover to fit that hole.
It looks like that's part of your grounding system, and they probably left it open for maintenance access. You might want to check out some spring-loaded access panels like this one from Home Depot. It won’t require any extra drywall work and should fit nicely.
From what I can tell, there isn’t a decorative cover for this type of box. You'd typically need just a metal plate to cover it since it needs to stay accessible for any splices. I’d recommend checking out those spring-loaded access panels too—I think that's a solid option!
