What Should I Do About This Live Wire Under My Kitchen Sink?

Hey everyone! I just moved into a new place and found a live wire under my kitchen sink while testing things out with a voltage meter. There's a garbage disposal, which is working fine and hooked up, but I'm not sure what this wire is for. Should I do anything with it? It looks like that wire might be a lead that was never finished up. It's pretty common to see one under the sink intended for appliances like a garbage disposal or dishwasher. I recommend turning off the breaker connected to it just to be safe and avoid any shocks.

Are you renting or is this your own house? If it's yours, you might want to either install a receptacle there or at least cap the wire and cover it with a blank plate. That way, it's safe and doesn't pose a risk.

Yeah, it's my new house. Should I just call a professional for this, or do you think I could handle it myself? I’ve built computers before but never messed with wiring.
