What Should I Do After Inhaling Drano Fumes?

I accidentally inhaled some Drano fumes after leaving it in the sink overnight and not realizing it was still there. I was in a small bathroom for about 10 minutes and now I feel okay, but I have some burning in my nose. Most of the Drano should be down the sink, but what should I do next?

If you only caught a small whiff of the fumes, you should be fine after a little while. Try to breathe deeply to help clear it from your system. Keep an eye on how you're feeling, and don’t hesitate to reach out to a doctor if the burning doesn’t go away or gets worse.

Yeah, definitely monitor yourself. If it persists, calling poison control might be a good idea just to be safe.

You might feel some irritation for a bit, but it often passes. Just keep some fresh air flowing, and check under your sink for any leaks. If the issue continues or you're worried, definitely seek medical advice.

I agree, fresh air helps! If it gets worse, don't wait too long to see a doc.

Make sure to thoroughly run water down the sink to get rid of any remaining Drano. And just a heads up, you might want to avoid using it again unless you want to risk drainage issues!
