I made a mistake by lining my new raised garden bed with landscape fabric instead of cardboard like I did with my other healthy beds. Now I'm wondering if there's a way to salvage the situation. Is there a way to adjust my planting to work with the fabric? Should I look for plants with shallow roots that can thrive in the 8 inches of soil above the fabric, or should I seek out plants with strong roots that might break through? Or should I just give up on that bed?

Honestly, just dig it up while you still can! Eight inches isn’t too deep, and if you’re careful, you can expose it enough to pull it out whole. You'll thank yourself in the long run!

Totally agree! Since nothing is planted yet, you can safely dig around and pull it out. Better now than once you start growing.
