I'm renovating my bathroom and I've got a 5-ft x 3-ft mirror that I'm planning to take down. If I manage to remove it without breaking it, what are some options for what to do with it? Is it worth anything? Would anyone actually want it for free? I'm also curious about the cost of having it cut down if I'm thinking of turning it into a dressing mirror; I don't want the cutting costs to be too high.

Avoid putting it out for free on the curb, unless you want to deal with leftover glass. A better idea is to list it on places like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for free as long as the person picks it up. People are often looking for items like this!
You might want to check out places like Habitat for Humanity stores, they usually sell mirrors quickly! I did that with a similar mirror and it went fast. Plus, it’s a way to help out without tossing it in the trash!
Great suggestion! I love supporting local charities while decluttering.
If you decide to cut it down, taking it to a glass shop is usually inexpensive. They can do it quickly. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even try cutting it yourself; all you need is a glass cutter and some gloves. Just be careful!
I’d totally suggest going the DIY route! Just watch a quick tutorial to get the hang of it.

Yeah, I had a similar experience! It’s surprising how quickly things go when they’re free.
