I'm having Empire Today install carpet in two bedrooms, a hallway, and on the stairs, costing around $2400. I'm unsure if I should tip the installers and what specific things I should pay attention to during and after the installation.

You really don't need to tip them. They're professionals who get paid well for their work, so it's not like tipping a barber or a taxi driver. Just focus on ensuring the job is done well!
Make sure to check the seams of the carpet and the padding underneath before they place the carpet down. I had an issue once where there was missing padding at a seam. It's also a good idea to check for any squeaky floors—if you can, remove the old carpet and secure the subfloor beforehand. That way, everything's nice and tight!

That's really helpful advice, thanks! I want to make sure everything is perfect since my kids' rooms are being done too!
