What Should I Expect to Pay for Garage Floor Epoxy Coating?

I've been seeing a lot of ads online about these amazing epoxy coatings for garage floors. When people ask about pricing, the companies always say they need to see the garage in person first. I get that every garage is unique and some might need extra work due to stains or cracks, but I'm really curious about the typical costs. For an average two-car garage, are we looking at a range of $2,000 to $3,000, or could it go as high as $10,000? I know they might not want to give an exact price without checking the space, but there must be some ballpark figures out there!

Honestly, they really want to come out and see what they can upsell you on. In my experience, the pricing can vary greatly and it seems a lot depends on where you live. There are definitely a lot of factors at play! For instance, if you've got a lot of junk to move out or specific floor prep needs, that can add to the cost. Generally, I've seen quotes range from $1,500 to $2,500 per car space if the garage is standard size and the concrete is in good condition.

I have a 20x24 garage in a high-cost area, and I paid about $3,000 for the epoxy. The condition of the concrete really matters, though. I've had it for 4 years now, and it's holding up great!

Much appreciated! That’s the kind of starting point I was looking for.

If your concrete is in decent shape, a good starting estimate is around $5 per square foot. But if you have cracks or damage, the prep work could significantly change that price. It’s tough to get a true quote without someone assessing the garage in person, though.
