What Should I Use to Replace Rotten Landscaping Wood: Wood or Pavers?

Asked By SunnyDaze123 On

Hey everyone! I've got some rotten landscaping wood around my yard that definitely needs replacing. I'm trying to decide whether to stick with landscaping wood lumbers like what's currently there or switch it up with bricks or retaining wall pavers. I'd love to hear any expert insights or personal experiences you might have. Thanks!

Are you looking to replace this for edging?

Yes, mainly for edging and to hold back some soil.

There are a lot of factors to think about here, such as your aesthetic preferences, budget, and how long you want the replacement to last. Generally, pricier options tend to last longer. If I had an unlimited budget, I'd suggest going for stone. It's not only stylish but super durable. That said, it can get pricey depending on where you live!
