I recently bought a fancy smart door lock that drains its batteries every two weeks, and I really should have checked the reviews first. What are some of the worst smart home devices you've bought that turned out to be a hassle?

I have to say, my biggest letdown has been my voice assistant, Google Home. It was great for the first year, but then it started messing up everything. Plus, it seems like every single gadget now needs its own app. Why can't they all just play nice together? And don't get me started on battery life... it's a constant battle with everything needing new batteries all the time! If I had to do it over, I'd stick with simpler devices that don't require so much upkeep.
Right? I feel like every time I see an app request, I just wanna say no! Who needs that many apps?
