What Soil Should I Use for My Blueberry Plant?

Asked By GardenGnome88 On

I've just bought a blueberry plant and am planning to transplant it from its pot soon. Since I'm really new to gardening, I've been doing some research but still find a lot of information confusing. I'm particularly interested in knowing if the two types of soil I found are suitable for my blueberry plant. Thanks for any advice!

Definitely grab a pH testing kit so you can check the acidity of your soil! Blueberries thrive in acidic conditions, so it’s great to get that sorted out first. Can’t stress enough how much they love that acidic environment!

I actually got a meter to read the pH! It really helps!

Are you thinking of mixing those two soils together? If the cost is a concern, you can do that. Just keep in mind that blueberries do prefer more acidic soil, so you might want to stick with the one that's specifically designed for them if it's better suited.

Yeah, I plan to mix them together to see how it works out!
