Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a succulent that can survive in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. My apartment is quite shady, getting around 20-30% light at best, and the only window is located at the bottom of a hill. I'm really hoping to bring a plant into my space, but I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to keep it alive. I also have a cat, so it's important to me that I choose a non-toxic plant. Any suggestions for plants that can thrive in low light without needing artificial light? Thanks a bunch!

You might want to check out the Christmas cactus! They can survive in lower light and are pet-safe too. Just ensure you provide a well-draining soil mix and watch their watering.
Snake plants are a great option for low light. They can tolerate shade but keep in mind that succulents generally need some light to thrive. If you're really set on having succulents, maybe look into other houseplants that are shade-tolerant. ZZ plants are also an option but they're not traditional succulents.

That's a bummer! I really love succulents, but I want to avoid any plant that might end up sad. Thanks for the tips!
