What to Do About a Chipped Toilet Bowl?

Hey everyone! I just discovered a small chip at the bottom of my toilet bowl in the main floor bathroom. We moved in last year and it was already there, but it drives me crazy because it always looks dirty with this permanent mark. It's an older home, but the toilet seems relatively new. I really want to avoid replacing the whole thing if I can help it. Is there any kind of paint that could cover this chip and would be durable enough? Or should I just put up a sign saying that it's actually clean? Thanks for any suggestions!

Honestly, any chip or crack in a porcelain toilet could lead to safety issues, so it's best to think about replacing it. A chip can get bigger over time and lead to dangerous splintering when weight's applied. It's better to be safe than sorry, especially since it's used frequently by guests!

Wow, I didn’t think of it that way! It seems minor, but I guess it could get worse. I’ll look into replacing it soon.
