What to Do About Our Struggling Pothos Plant?

We're in a bit of a bind at the office. One of my coworkers has a huge Pothos plant that has sadly lost all its leaves, leaving behind just long, sad-looking vines. It's starting to turn into an eyesore, and we're getting complaints from customers. The issue is, no one wants to hurt my coworker's feelings by telling her the plant isn't thriving. We're looking for some discreet ways to either trim it back or handle the situation without causing a scene. Any advice?

Trimming it is definitely a good idea! It should encourage new growth, especially if you can get more light to the plant. You could even suggest repotting it with fresh soil to really give it a boost!

You might want to try trimming it back gradually, just one node at a time. It’s less likely she’ll notice the small changes over time compared to a drastic cut all at once. If it's really hurting the office vibe, it might be worth having a gentle chat about how to keep it thriving, especially with customer feedback in mind.

Instead of thinking about removing it completely, just focus on giving it a good trim to promote better health. If you cut back the old vines, the plant might surprise you with new, healthy leaves. Pothos plants are pretty resilient when given proper care!
