What to Do If I Ordered the Wrong Size Door?

I accidentally ordered a door that's 32 inches wide when I actually need one that's 36 inches wide. Is there any way I can fix this mistake or make the door I ordered work? I appreciate any advice!

You might want to check out a tool called a board stretcher, which can help, although it sounds a bit far-fetched! But honestly, if you can, simplifying things by just exchanging it for the right size 36-inch door would be the easiest route. Adding inches to your current door or frame just won’t look great. Starting fresh is probably the best way to go!

Haha, a board stretcher? That definitely sounds like a joke! But yeah, I guess starting fresh is best.

Totally agree with you. A new door saves a ton of hassle!

Honestly, while there are a few options like enlarging the frame or modifying the door, they typically look weird and aren’t worth the effort. I suggest going for the exchange! It’ll save you a lot of time and hassle in the long run.
