I've been happily using a StealthSonic vacuum (model DXV06PL-QT) for about four months, and it's been amazing – quiet and powerful. But out of nowhere, it just fried after I turned it on; it started for a moment and then completely cut off. Weirdly, everything else on the power strip is fine, and other outlets aren't working either. I don't have the receipt. Am I out of luck?

As far as I know, you don’t necessarily need the receipt for warranty claims. They typically ask for it, but since there’s usually a manufacturer date on the product, that might be enough. My Dewalt tools had similar situations, and they didn’t give me too much trouble. It might be worth contacting support; I’ve heard good things about their warranty! Losing $85 on a tool you rely on would really sting.
I’ve heard of this happening before with that model! How long have you had it?

I bought it brand new about 4 months ago.
