What to Do When My Polka Dot Plant Starts Flowering?

I recently bought a Hypoestes (Polka dot plant) and I'm noticing some flower bulbs on it. I heard that flowering might signal the end of its life. I'm concerned and would like to know what steps I can take, if any, to help my new plant thrive. Is there anything I can do?

If you don't want your polka dot plant to flower, you can just cut the flower stalks off. Don't worry, it will still thrive as it produces a lot of seeds. Just snip those flowers away to keep it looking healthy!

That makes sense! How exactly do I cut them off? Is there a specific spot I should cut from? Also, can I collect seeds without harming the plant?
