What to Do with Expired Caulk That’s Not Curing?

Hey everyone, I made the mistake of using expired silicone caulk while trying to seal some windows in my house. Now, it's just sitting there and not curing at all. I can clean up the excess on the sides and top, but I've got some that dripped behind the wood trim at the bottom. What's the best way to handle this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yeah, expired caulk is a bummer. Make sure to remove all the old stuff thoroughly. If you can get the trim off, that’ll really help you clean it better before you reapply. Best of luck with it!

Expired caulk won't cure at all, so you'll probably need to scrape out as much as you can. It might even be a good idea to remove the trim completely to get a proper clean before adding fresh caulk. Sorry you’re dealing with this!
