What to Plant in My North East Facing Window Boxes?

I just moved into a house that has north east facing window boxes, but unfortunately, all the plants have died in between the previous owner's move and ours. I feel a bit embarrassed about the state of them since we live on a nice street, and I want to spruce them up. I'm looking for suggestions on what to plant that is low maintenance and will look decent throughout the year. I'm a total beginner with gardening and have found online resources too advanced for me. I also wanted to clarify that 'north east facing' means that these window boxes get a good amount of sunshine in that spot, so I'm a bit confused. Any tips would be super helpful!

Hey! I recommend heading to a nearby supermarket or garden center to grab a couple of packs of bedding plants. You'll also want some fresh compost to renew the soil in your boxes and maybe some liquid plant feed. Don’t forget a watering can if you don’t have one! It's a straightforward way to get started without too much hassle.

Thanks for the advice! Just to clarify, will I need to replace these bedding plants every season?
