Hey everyone! My mom is really interested in starting a garden, but she's not very mobile. I want to make her gardening experience enjoyable and manageable. Does anyone have recommendations for tools, tips, or any tricks that could help? Thanks a lot!

You might want to check into square foot gardening. It's a bit of investment upfront, but it's great for creating a manageable and accessible garden. Look for tools designed for mobility, like extended handles or kneeling boards. It's all about thinking creatively to make it rewarding for her!

The best thing is to keep the plants at a height where she can easily reach them without bending or kneeling. Raised beds or tall planters are perfect for this! Also, consider getting her some lightweight camping chairs to help her move around and sit where she needs to. A bucket for tools or even a wheeled trolley bag can help too. And don't forget gardening gloves! They'll protect her hands, especially with rubber grips!

As someone who's disabled, I can say a kneeler that flips into a chair is super helpful! You can adjust the height based on her comfort, too. Adding a cart to move things around would be great. Just having the right setup can really make a difference!
