I recently had a 4x4 fence post set in concrete by a contractor, and now I want to install a horizontal 4x4 post next to it. However, there's excess concrete around the fence post that needs to be removed. I'm planning to use a chisel for this task. Can anyone recommend which type of chisel would be best for removing this concrete?

I personally love this digging bar for jobs like this. It's versatile and means I don't have to crouch down too much. Check it out if you're interested! [Digging Bar Link](https://www.harborfreight.com/17-lb-digging-bar-with-tamper-93612.html)
I'd suggest going for the wider chisel. The narrower one is more for drilling. Honestly, you can also just use a large cold chisel if you're comfortable with that.
If you can share a picture of the concrete, that would help us suggest the right tools, depending on how much has to be chipped away.
You might want to try an SDS drill with a chisel bit if you have one. It's really effective for breaking up concrete.
Consider using a hammer drill with a chisel bit or even an angle grinder if you're okay with more power tools. They can really speed up the process!

Yeah, a 1 1/2 chisel bit on hammer mode works wonders for me!
