What type of siding is this and can I patch it myself?

I recently noticed some damage to my siding after having a roof leak patched. I'm not sure what type of siding this is, and I'm looking for advice on whether I can patch it myself. I've successfully repaired drywall before, but I need to identify this material to find the right repair methods. Any insights or advice would really help!

It looks like your siding might be fiberglass sheets. If that's the case, you would probably need epoxy resin and some fiberglass cloth for a proper patch up. Double-check the materials to be sure, though! Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into that and see if it matches what I have.

How old is your home? Just curious because that siding looks similar to some asbestos sheeting I've come across before. But if it's new, like a 3-year-old townhome, it might just be a modern fibrous material.

It's just 3 years old, brand new townhome in Seattle, so I doubt it's asbestos.
