We're planning to renovate our home later this year and are looking to update the siding. I want to hear your recommendations on what type of siding would work best. Here's a link to an image of our home for reference: [https://imgur.com/a/xhcD4x7](https://imgur.com/a/xhcD4x7). I'd appreciate any ideas you have!

A board and batten look could also work beautifully! It has a classic appeal and adds a lot of character to the exterior, plus it can be quite durable depending on the materials you choose.

I’d recommend Hardie Plank for a solid choice—it's durable and gives a nice, upscale look to your home. But keep in mind, it will need some upkeep over the years. Just make sure you have a good contractor who can install it well!

I’ve heard from several contractors that Hardie can be tricky, though. They often try to steer clients away from it because of potential issues during installation. Just something to keep in mind!

If you’re looking for something low maintenance, high-end vinyl could be the way to go. It still looks nice but saves you time on upkeep compared to fiber cement.
