Hey everyone! I recently got an M12 Hackzall, but the blade it came with is pretty worn out. I need to know what kind of replacement blades I can use. I saw that Milwaukee only offers one small set, but I'm curious if those are compatible or if the Sawzall blades work too? Since my Hackzall is a compact model, should I stick to shorter blades for it? Also, are the attachment sizes standard enough that I can use blades from brands like DeWalt or Bosch?

I got a mixed pack of CMT blades for about $20 from Menards that work fine. Also, I’ve used a 12-inch Diablo pruning blade without any issues. So, possibly don’t stress too much about the blade length—just use what fits your needs!
If you have a favorite blade that's too long, don’t hesitate to cut it down! You can do this easily with snips or a grinder. I've had to modify blades for specific tasks—it’s totally doable!
You can pretty much run any blades you need! The Hackzall takes standard Sawzall blades. I've found that Diablo blades offer great value for the price. Just keep in mind what you're cutting; shorter blades are ideal for most tasks since longer ones can wobble.
Home Depot had a good set for just $14 this week! You can check out their Milwaukee set too. Just to give you the exact link: they also have Diablo sets at a similar price, which is a great deal if you're looking for options!
