I'm looking to spice up my indoor plant collection with some unusual houseplants! I've already started with some typical ones like spider plants and pothos, but I'm curious about those rare finds you've grown that you've never seen anyone else have. What are they, why did you choose them, and how did you manage to keep them thriving?

Thyme, especially the different varieties, is one of my favorites! It's not common to keep herbs as houseplants, but the smell is just incredible. I recently added Orange Thyme and a cola herb which looks like a cute little fern. They really fit in with my home decor while being useful too!
I bought a lavender plant and I’m in love with it! Just rubbing the leaves makes my hands smell amazing. It's starting to flower, too! I think it thrives with plenty of sun and water, so I’m still figuring her out, but it's worth it!
I once grew a tree from my flower garden as a fun little project! I potted it outside and watched it thrive. Even though I don’t have it anymore, it was awesome seeing it grow and thrive! Super rewarding to watch a tree develop from a little plant.
I've been growing Drimiopsis Maculata, and it's such a unique bulbous plant from Africa! It's a slow grower and not your typical houseplant, which makes it exciting. It’s definitely more thirsty than people think, contrary to the advice I've seen online! You have to keep an eye on its water levels—trust me, it can surprise you!
I grow lemon verbena on my windowsill, and the lemon scent is fantastic! It really brightens the space and is such a unique plant to have indoors. Plus, it’s easy to care for, making it a perfect addition to my collection!
