I'm looking to install a 5x5 walk-in shower, but I'm unsure how much I should charge for the job. Any advice on pricing would be really helpful!

For a basic installation, a good starting point is around $3.50 per square foot, but remember that it varies based on materials and complexity of the job. Sometimes, estimates include a few extra features, like fancy showerheads or niches, which can raise the price. It's all about what the customer wants, really! You could be looking at a couple thousand dollars total or more for a high-end setup.

That sounds about right! Just keep in mind that you also need to clarify whether you're sourcing materials or if the client is. Pricing can get complicated, but as long as everyone knows what's included, you should be fine!

You're not just charging for the shower itself; also think about things like labor, permits, and other variables involved in the installation. If you're using an insert kit or tiles, those will definitely impact your overall cost. Pricing can be all over the place, so having a good plan and comparing a few quotes will help.

It’s tricky without all the details—like whether you're tiling or using pre-made materials. Also, consider if you’re including things like hardware and doors in your estimate. Just from what I know, costs can swing anywhere from $2000 to $6000 depending on your choices. My advice? Get at least three estimates from local contractors to gauge what others are charging. And if you're planning to DIY, factor in any extra work you’ll need to do too!
