What’s a Fair Price for Building a 65-Foot Retaining Wall?

I'm in the process of building a retaining wall that's 65 feet long and 4.5 feet high. Initially, it was planned to be only 40 feet and 3 feet high, but due to the landscape and the area that needs to be retained, I've made it bigger. This change has involved more digging, reinforcing, and adding proper drainage. What do you think would be a fair price to charge for this project considering the extra work?

If you're in my area, any wall over 4 feet typically needs engineering and permits. It might be a good idea to check local regulations before moving forward. Just to keep things legal and safe! How are you planning to manage the extra height and the possibility of needing a permit?

It's kind of wild to see someone asking for pricing advice online. You likely have a better grasp on your material costs and labor, considering you’re the one doing the work. The best thing to do is calculate your expenses, including materials and any help you may need. Don't forget to factor in your own time! Once you know what you need to break even, you can set a price that allows you to make a profit as well.
