I'm planning to replace some old wire shelves in my home. I need someone to take down the old shelves, patch up the holes, construct new wooden shelves, and then install them. I've received a huge range of quotes for this project, and I'm honestly confused about what a reasonable price should be. I'd appreciate any ballpark figures or experiences others might have with similar projects! Here's a photo of the current setup and the kind of shelves I'm looking to install: https://imgur.com/a/oKIZ052. Thanks!

It sounds like quite the project! I’d say the prices you've received vary quite a bit. The lower end at $250 might just cover the basics if you're providing the materials yourself. However, if you want a complete package, including wood and installation, then $500-$700 is more common. Just confirm what each quote includes to make sure you're comparing apples to apples.

Thanks for the insight! That makes a lot more sense. I guess I should clarify what those quotes actually cover!
