What’s a Fair Price for Selling a 20” Dual Battery Chainsaw (Tool Only)?

I recently snagged a great deal on five 20" chainsaws and plan to keep the batteries for myself. Now, I'm looking to sell the four extra chainsaws I don't need. What do you think would be a reasonable price to ask for just the tool, without the batteries?

I think it really depends on the demand, but a flat $100 could work considering your plan. It seems fair, especially since you're not keeping the batteries. Keep the selling in mind for those wanting just the saw!

I'd say don't pay attention to those negative comments. If the whole kit costs around $900 and you're keeping the batteries, that leaves you with about $500 value for the saw. A fair selling price would probably be in the range of $375 to $450. You're offering a solid deal here!

Totally agree! You're just passing along a good deal, and it's not like you're trying to rip anyone off—it's just a fair tool-only offer.

Right? I often see listings for these saws at way higher prices on places like Facebook Marketplace!

I got mine with two batteries for $640 from Woot, so I think around a hundred bucks is a reasonable starting point for just the saw. Good luck selling!
