I'm curious to hear from fellow gardeners about any mistakes you've made in your gardening journey that ended up teaching you a valuable lesson. What did you learn from those experiences?

Patience is key! I used to overwater my plants and dig up roots, thinking they weren't doing anything. It's been a great lesson in letting nature do its thing! Now I just enjoy watching them grow and try to relax about the whole process.

I learned the hard way about the importance of pH balance in my water. I had nutrient deficiencies in my plants until I tested my well water and found it had a high pH. After adjusting it, my plants thrived! I definitely recommend checking the pH if you're on private well water.

I've been curious about testing my water too! We're on municipal, but the chlorine smell is intense. My plants seem fine, but I wonder if I should check it out.

One mistake I made was using unhealthy plants from the store. It ended up costing me more in the long run because I had to deal with pests and diseases that spread to my other plants. Now, I only buy high-quality plants that are healthy. It saves time and money!
