What’s a Good Leaf Blower for an Older Woman?

I'm looking for some advice for a friend in her 70s who could really benefit from a leaf blower to keep her deck tidy. She's been advised to get one, and I suggested a battery-powered model, but I'm unsure about the right balance between weight and power. I also want to ensure it's easy to use since grip strength might be a consideration. I don't want her to end up with a super powerful blower that's too much to handle. Any recommendations?

Stihl offers some lightweight options like the BGA 30 and BGA 57, both of which are battery-operated and easy to use. They might be great picks for your friend, ensuring she has enough power without being overwhelmed.

A basic Greenworks blower might fit the bill too. I have one on my porch, and it’s super light with a 2.5ah battery. It lasts long enough between charges and is strong enough for doing just what you mentioned.

I’ve got a Black and Decker 40V sweeper that works really well for me. It's light enough to handle easily and clears the deck without much effort. Plus, the battery lasts a decent amount of time, so it should be perfect for her needs.
