I have a sedan and it's becoming a hassle to move my heavy toolbox and organizer in and out of my car. I'm considering getting a dolly, but the wheels aren't very rugged or suitable for all terrains. The bigger wheeled boxes don't fit in my trunk either. I'm toying with the idea of making my own dolly, but I'm concerned about how to make it slide in and out of my vehicle easily. What are some solutions to manage my tools better?

You might want to consider getting a tow hitch for your car and attaching a small trailer like they use for bicycles. It would save you from lifting heavy boxes in and out.
Have you checked out Ridgid tools? They may not be as strong as some of the premium brands, but their dolly is removable and has larger wheels, which might work better for you. Plus, they’re usually more affordable than the other options. Just keep in mind they don’t have as many accessories as the pricier stuff.
I totally agree! I've been using Ridgid for both my mechanic and electrical jobs. The removable dolly feature is super handy, and they last really well.
I’m not sure what trade you’re in, but I've found that breaking down my tools into several smaller storage units works wonders. It involves a few more trips, but it keeps the weight manageable and makes it easier to grab only what I need.

That’s a great idea! Alternatively, if you have room, a storage crate for your power tools could free up space in your toolbox and make transportation easier.
