I had my garden cleaned up last year, with new flowers and bulbs planted and landscape fabric laid down, topped with mulch. Recently, I've noticed that a part of the fabric has been pulled up, and now almost half of it is exposed. I'm wondering what could be causing this damage. I live in East Tennessee, and there are a lot of deer around—could they be the culprits?

It sounds like squirrels might be the ones causing trouble in your garden! They can be pretty mischievous and love to dig around. You might want to consider some deterrents to keep them away.

Any suggestions on how to stop them?
