Hey everyone! I've had my peace lily for a while now without any issues, but I recently noticed some strange things happening. I watered it today because the soil was dry, but while it's got a flower pushing through on one side, there's another stem that's splitting and is black inside all the way to the base. Should I let the plant dry out, or is it time to repot and check for root rot? I'm pretty new to houseplants and a bit confused since it seems both healthy and unhealthy at the same time. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

When peace lilies droop, it usually means they need more water, but your situation sounds a bit tricky. One side drooping could indicate an issue, so keep an eye on it.
It's not common to overwater peace lilies since they love moisture. Since you've had it for a couple of years, it might be rootbound and need a larger pot! Just a thought. Maybe post a picture for more specific advice?
Don't stress too much! Peace lilies are resilient plants. If you notice it getting worse, you can try taking it out of the pot and gently separating the stems or even cutting them if they’re too tangled. I did that with mine, and it did just fine!
