I'm really frustrated about the upcoming hosepipe ban. England has been hit by drought conditions, and it's hard to understand why we need to ration water in such a wet country. Water companies have made massive profits, paying out billions in dividends without building new reservoirs for decades. I'm totally for water conservation, but shouldn't these companies also be held accountable? Before any ban kicks in, I think they should cancel all bonuses and dividends this year. Who else feels this way?

I get why you're annoyed! It really frustrates me too when you think about how these water companies hardly ever think about infrastructure. It's ridiculous that they haven't built any new reservoirs for years. If they invested their profits into fixing leaks instead of pumping money into their executives' pockets, we might not even be in this position!
Exactly! It's insane how they expect us to conserve while they just line their pockets.

Right? If we keep having these hosepipe bans, it feels like they’re just rearranging deck chairs instead of solving the actual problems.
